About Fairways

Luxury villa on award winning Royal Westmoreland golf course

We bought our Villa in Barbados as an escape to paradise. The temperature is a constant 29 degrees all year round and we love the tropical atmosphere.  We can indulge in a round of Golf every day, or just chill out on the terrace, around the pool or at the beach.

Barbados is well known for its safe environment and the friendliness of its people which is why we chose this island for our home away from home.   Royal Westmoreland is a gated community with relaxed security, on the “Platinum” West Coast,  and only minutes from the best beaches (with a free shuttle bus). The Golf Course is spectacular, with views of the Caribbean from every fairway.

There always seems to be something to do on the island when we want to be active.   Oistins on a Friday night for its world famous Fish Fry, water skiing, jet skiing, or trying one of the many fabulous restaurants.   The “Crop Over” festival is world renowned and great fun. Music is everywhere and ‘steel pan’ is infectious. We love it here.

Our Villa has its own private entrance and garden, including a BBQ terrace.

We have two double bedrooms in the main villa, each with their own bathroom, and a separate cottage suite with double bedroom, en-suite bathroom and kitchenette.

We allow it to be booked as a two bedder for 2-4 people or for 5-6 people (taking all three bedrooms) for a small supplement per person.

We love the open plan lounge, on the upper floor, which opens on to a dining and lounge terrace with stunning views over the Golf Course to the Caribbean Ocean.  We renovated the kitchen in 2012 and installed every convenience we think you will need for self catering.

Genevieve, our housekeeper, attends each weekday to do your cleaning and to do laundry.  She will also do all of your laundry too so that you can take a suitcase of clean clothes home with you.   By private arrangement Genevieve will also be happy to babysit, or provide light lunches.

We have installed Sony flat screen Cable TVs, a Blu-ray DVD player, high speed broadband wireless internet access, Bluetooth Music streamer, UK TV including Sky, All in One printer, scanner, fax facility, two i-Pod docks, and a Radio/CD player.

Outside of the villa you have a choice of two pools.  A salt water pool just two minutes away is for the exclusive use of Forest Hills guests.  There is also another pool at the Sanctuary which is a five minute walk away.

As well as the pool, the Sanctuary also has a jacuzzi and a gym with Nautilus equipment, and a bar for ice creams, light nacks and drinks.   The popular clubhouse is across the road, offering lunch and dinner.   And a well deserved cold drink after a round of golf.

Tennis: Two floodlit tennis courts are available all year round and tennis coaching is also offered.

There is a free shuttle service to Mullins beach and restaurant facility (with possibly the best pizzas on the island).
